Thank God for this ROOF!

A ROOF at last! Here are the latest pictures from the newly resumed construction on the Galilee Home in Burma. God’s people acted (they prayed and gave) and many lives were impacted almost immediately. Thirty-one kids and their caregivers will soon have a roof over their heads.

James 2:17 “In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.”

Dear friends, if you have any tenderness in your heart toward the mission of God to the least and the lost then we urge you to consider reaching out. In a matter of days the gifts of God’s people reach the mission field and are put to work building God’s Kingdom. This is done without waste. We guard every possible cent from fees or overhead that would dilute the impact of the love of God’s people sent to the mission field. Please join with us by participating in the Great Commission of Christ. The Galilee orphanage is home to (at present) to 31 abandoned and orphaned children and their caregivers. These beautiful children are God’s garden, “a planting of the Lord for the display of His splendor.” Isaiah 61:3

Burma is a land largely lost to Christ with only about 4% of the population that shares Christian belief.  For that four percent we can thank the missionaries of previous generations who, at great personal sacrifice, brought the Gospel to this ancient land. Now this is our generation! What would God have us do? Some are content to do evangelism over the course of a day or a week through revival meetings or mission teams, but we seek to do evangelism over the course of decades by raising the needy children of Burma with a fire in the hearts to reach their own culture for Christ. God has his faithful senders who make all this possible.  There are no corporate grants or governmental entities in support of this work.  Only the people of God can support the work of God on the mission field. The staff, missionaries and leadership of Interhope embrace a lifestyle of simplicity and frugality so that every possible resource can do as much good as possible where it is needed most. For those who gave to make this building a reality, we say, ‘thank you for giving to the Lord.

Imagine what else God wants to do!
