Galilee Kids Get a New Transformer

These kids are happy because they’ve just received a very important gift. It’s not a cell phone or a new pair of sneakers; it’s a gift that will transform their ability to study, work, sleep, and play in their orphanage. It is an electrical transformer that will provide a strong and stable flow of electricity to the orphanage. For years, electricity has been a problem at Galilee. At times, power is only available for a few hours a day and at such an unstable flow that they could choose a fan or a light, but not both. This costly upgrade will transform the daily lives of our children, allowing them to sleep more comfortably, to study after dark, and to operate electrical devices, like computers and appliances. It will also limit the dependence on loud and expensive generators which have been used for a long time to fill in the gaps when a little extra juice was needed. Today, the kids are giving thanks for this transformer.
